The Phoenix is a vibrant, mythical bird that will typically live 500 to 1000 years and then build a nest. The Phoenix will ignite the nest and burn fiercely until out of the embers and ashes a young Phoenix is reborn anew. This new Phoenix is destined to live as long as its old self.
A new Phoenix has been reborn in NC women’s ultimate. This new Phoenix recognizes that a tradition of winning has been built by the sweat of previous generations. We respect and thank the women who have gone before us. It is with our deepest gratitude that we go forward, hoping that we may ignite a history of excellence as long as the previous.
Phoenix is a program dedicated to opportunity for play for women. Therefore, Ember was born. The Phoenix program seven core values we live by are:
